About the Content Administrator Position

Study.com is the fastest-growing collection of lessons, articles, homework help resources, and courses on the Web. Our resources help a diverse audience of over 30 million visitors a month do everything they need, including learn and practice elementary subjects, tackle tough homework problems, earn college credit, gain career skills, and more. As a Content Administrator, you will join Study.com’s Content team to help publish thousands of high-quality, engaging pieces of educational content. The HR responsibilities of a Content Administrator are handled by TargetCW, a 3rd party partner who manages payroll, PTO, benefits, etc. for Study.com’s remote, hourly employees but a Study.com manager will approve the timecard.

Responsibilities include some or all of the following:

  • Evaluate prospective contractors for our various content products
  • Efficiently support contractors by answering questions, troubleshooting and doing whatever needs to be done to drive project delivery
  • Monitor content work pools to ensure that content projects are matched with contractors
  • Conduct regular QA and Auditing on educational content, including checking for plagiarism
  • Respond to customers who need someone with intricate knowledge of our products
  • Correspond with external schools and companies to expand Study.com's digital footprint
  • Work with internal team on creation of new work for contractors

Requirements

  • Prior work experience in a remote or home office setting
  • Minimum 30 hours per week availability, at least 20 of which are between 8 am to 5 pm Pacific time, Monday through Friday
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
  • Highly proficient user of common computer applications and software, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching or educational content development experience, preferably in an online environment
  • Experience managing online content through a CMS
  • Research experience & using findings as evidence to make informed decisions
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices
  • General link building experience
